About CCEC

Chongqing Cummins Engine Co., Ltd. (CCEC) stands as a dynamic Sino-US joint venture that took root in October 1995. Nestled within the historic Martyrs’ Tomb in Shapingba District, Chongqing City, CCEC is a testament to the collaborative efforts of its Chinese parent company, Chongqing Electromechanical Co., Ltd., and its foreign counterpart, CCEC (China) Investment Co., Ltd., with an equitable investment ratio of 50% from both entities.

With over 1400 dedicated employees, CCEC’s roots trace back to the Chongqing Automobile Engine Factory, a pioneering establishment that commenced the design and production of diesel engines in the 1950s. Serving as the cornerstone of CCEC’s localized production in China, the company has evolved into the country’s largest specialized manufacturing plant for heavy-duty and high-horsepower engines.

In a significant milestone in 1981, CCEC formally inked a license agreement with the former China National Heavy-Duty Truck Group, initiating the production of high-horsepower diesel engines in the vibrant city of Chongqing. Over the years, the collaborative relationship between the two entities has flourished, with CCEC emerging as a vital catalyst for the exponential growth of business under the CCEC banner in China.

Today, CCEC stands as a symbol of technological prowess and commitment to innovation. The company’s legacy is deeply intertwined with China’s industrial landscape, embodying a rich heritage of diesel engine manufacturing that spans decades. As CCEC continues to push boundaries and drive advancements in heavy-duty and high-horsepower engines, it remains a driving force propelling the success of businesses across the nation.
