
The UL 1247 certification issuance ceremony for China’s first electronically controlled firefighting diesel engine, along with the WTDP witness testing accreditation laboratory awarding ceremony, was successfully held on October 16 at Chongqing Cummins Engine Co., Ltd (CCEC).
More than 80 representatives from UL solutions, engine manufacturers, customers, development partners, CCEC management team, and the project development team attended the event.
Yuan Jun, General Manager of CCEC, delivered the opening speech, expressing gratitude to the representatives from UL solutions, customers, and partners, while looking forward to the market performance of the new product and creating more value for users. Yuan Jun emphasized that “innovation never ends, customer success is our mission,” which reflects Cummins’ vision. He stated that CCEC will continue to support customer success with a spirit of constant innovation and trusted quality.

John Ahn, Global Sales Director of UL Solutions’ Building Environment Safety Technology Division, recognized the potential value of the new product in the emergency equipment industry and awarded CCEC the UL 1247 certification for China’s first electronically controlled firefighting diesel engine and the WTDP Witness Testing Accreditation Laboratory certificates.

Guang Rong, Technical Director and Sales Director for Industrial Market at CCEC, provided a detailed introduction to the new product’s excellent performance in power, reliability, and safety. He also showcased CCEC‘ continuous improvement in comprehensive operational capabilities. Guang Rong emphasized that CCEC will continue to innovate and strive to become a global benchmark for high-power engine technology research and development as well as intelligent manufacturing.
The UL certification obtained for the firefighting pump engine from CCEC is of significant importance to pump customers. It will meet the diversified needs of the domestic high-end emergency firefighting pump application market.
